Background

Mechanical engineer for Hsskor Dominion who endeavored to get the hell off of Trandosha when he saw the writing on the wall leading up to the Imperial Era.

Escaped in a stolen Hsskor Dominion delivery ship, but lost his left arm in the process. Used his mechanical expertise and parts from the onboard X10-D droids to construct a new arm, which he is attempting to merge with his biological arm as it slowly regenerates around it. This requires periodic surgical operations on himself to remove bone from his regenerating arm and to force the remaining tissue to grow around his mechanical skeleton instead.

Motivation

A closeted non-believer in the Scorekeeper, Vissk learned to be a medic after leaving Trandosha, overcoming some of his race's limited dexterity by integrating parts of X10-D draft droids into himself to replace his lost arm. This makes him an excellent medic for a Trandoshan, but he is limited by his clumsy, clawed right hand

Through this experiment, Vissk hopes to begin a revolution among his race, providing Trandoshans of all score levels with superior dexterity, transforming them into lifeforms far more capable of scientific research, surgical medicine, and mechanical engineering than they are of acts of brutal violence. "When you are capable of more than wielding a blaster rifle, suddenly everything stops looking like a target."

Vissk rejects the religious ideologies that have woven themselves into Trandoshan culture, but cannot separate himself from it completely. He misses his home, his traditional cuisine and many unique aspects of Trandoshan existence, and finds it difficult to connect with others in the Rebellion over shared cultural understanding.

At any given time, Vissk is perhaps a bit too eager to connect with a like-minded Trandoshan. This deep longing can cloud Vissk's judgement and blind him to red flags.
