Rapid Reaction 1 The character may suffer a number of strain to add an equal number of Successes to any Vigilance or Cool check to determine initiative order. The number may not exceed his ranks in Rapid Reaction.
Quick Strike 1 When performing a combat check during combat, the character adds a Bonus Die (Blue Die) per rank of Quick Strike to combat checks against any target that has not yet acted in the encounter.
Side Step 1 Once per round on the character’s turn, the character may perform a Side Step maneuver to try to avoid incoming ranged attacks. He then suffers a number of strain no greater than his ranks in Side Step. Until the start of the character’s next turn, upgrade the difficulty of all ranged combat checks targeting the character a number of times equal to the strain suffered by the character.

Background

Gavin Starwars hails from the backstreets of APPROPRIATE CITY/PLANET. From a young age the less honourably citizens of ABOVE NAMED PLACE realised that Gavin's somewhat dim-witted appearance made for a rather fine cover when transporting illegal substances, as who in their right mind would suspect such a gormless looking fool?

Gavin was sharper than his blank stare would have people believe and quickly made a successful career out of smuggling pretty much anything that was asked of him. After a deal running spice went catastrophically wrong however, Gavin was forced to flee from his old crew and took up a position upon the CAMPAIGN SHIP.

Motivation

Ambition - Novelty - Gavin Starwars is driven to experience new sensations and activities, perhaps rather hedonistically.

Droid Rights - Gavin Starwars believes that Droids should be accepted as full members of galactic society, not merely tools or servants.

Obligations

Debt - While running spice for APPROPRIATELY VILLANOUS NAME, Gavin found himself outwitted and cornered by ALSO A VERY VILLANOUS NAME in a seedy jazz bar, leaving him devoid of both the product he was transporting and the credits he was supposed to receive for it.

Knowing just how FIRST MENTIONED VILLANOUS BEING would react to his failure (read:torturous murder), Gavin fled APPROPRIATE PLANET in the company of jazz musician Harri-Fisnar.
