Churen was born to a family of wealth on Naboo where he lived and played until one fateful day Jedi Master Solado Copaer came to his estates, tracking an assassin targeting his father.
Solado witnessed Churen display his potential with the force when the assassin had his father in the cross hairs only for Churen to push him out of the way a second before the blast whizzed passed through the space previously occupied by his father.
Solado took Churen to be traines in the Jedi Order, only to be told when examined that he had exceeded the admittance age, Solado having never taken a padawan asked that he be granted the right to train Churen, and so his training began.

For several long years Churen trained under Solado, until the Clone Wars began, Solado loved going behind enemy lines but would often leave Churen behind so as not to endanger his life, little did he know this was the only reason that Churen survived Order 66.
Having been kept seperate from the clone army Churen escaped the slaughter of his mentor and friend.
A smuggling crew that Churen and Solado had caused to lose their shipment just a few short weeks prior took pity on Churen and offered the teen a place on their crew. Taking on the name Churen Tek-Den, he began masking his skill with the force. Churen watched over the rest of his crew always looking out for them until an inquisitor came, sensing he would merely be putting them in danger he disappeared into the night.
