Rhin joined the local planetary navy young, rapidly rising through the ranks to become Cmdr. Vhiran. At the outbreak of the Clone Wars, he was captain of the Eventyr, a CR90 corvette and his local fleet became part of the Republic Navy. He led the ship through picket duty, blockade runs, and fleet battles, but in the end the Republic fell. He announced that “We served the Republic, not the Empire. That makes us free agents until the Republic, or something like it, returns,” and went rogue with the portion of his crew that chose to remain.

Cmdr. Vhiran turned the Eventyr into a smuggling ship, taking dangerous routes and trusting in his ship and his combat experience to carry the day. He lived as a scoundrel for decades, until Endor.

When the Rebellion emerged from Endor victorious, Cmdr. Vhiran saw hope for the return of the Republic he loved so dearly. His crew (now mostly smugglers instead of Republic sailors) disagreed, so he set out for the Lantilles Sector on his own.

Cmdr. Vhiran is in his 60s. He has a hard military bearing, but a mischievous glint in his eye. Since the Rebel victory at Endor he has taken to wearing his Republic combat uniform again, even though it’s a little tight on him these days.
