Background
Growing up as a poor middle child in a family of eight on a Mid Rim world with a caste system, Tovaar had always chafed against the idea that he would never be more than what he was. Ashamed of his family's humble lifestyle and gifted with a strong grasp of economics, Tovaar left his planet and began making money through various means. While usually legal, their ethical value varied, but by the end of his efforts, he had developed the skills to comfortably provide for himself.
Still, his ambition kept him going forward - he desired wealth, privilege, and the finer things in life, and on Canto Blight, an up and coming crime lord offered him a chance at having it.
His relationship with his family has grown increasingly strained, as Tovaar tries to divorce himself from his "rural hick" upbringing, and members of his family hear more and more about the things he has done to achieve the life he wants, with his parents convinced that he mocks their traditional way of life and scorns their values in shame. Still, a handful of his siblings still believe that family will always be family, and continue to extend an olive branch.
Motivation
Ambition - Status
Far more than mere wealth or success, Tovaar's wish is to be accepted amongst the rich, successful and powerful, to be elevated to the ranks of the Galactic elite. On his home planet, even the poorest Noble, who's fortune was long squandered was an unreachable height above the common man. That height of untouchability, to truly walk amongst them as his peers - that is what Tovaar desires.
Obligations
Philanderer (10) - The image of a wealthy mining magnate or nobleman surrounded by beautiful women has been something Tovaar has strived to build towards his entire life. To him, it's a sign of his status and progress.
Family (10) - As much as he may detest his humble upbringing and wish to distance himself from it, for whatever reason, Tovaar can never seem to utterly turn his back to his family, despite how much they might disdain each other. Whenever a sibling needs credits to pay bail, or fix machinery on the ranch, somehow credits seem to make it to them, from Tovaar's pocket.
