Born on the Starhunter's Intergalactic Menagerie where his parents met after being captured and forced to participate as musical entertainment. Attained freedom by escaping when the menagerie was put out of business, never settling down and moving from place to place performing. Parents were eventually once more the subject of enslavement in Nar Shaddaa. Kiles was hidden aboard the ship of a sympathetic bounty hunter, who eventually left the boy in Ord Mantell when assigned a bounty for Ryn tails. Has performed and scammed his way through the streets of Ord Mantell to survive since then.

Ambition - Survival: In a galaxy where simply being a Force user can be a death sentence, the character's primary concern is survival. He's willing to do what it takes to make sure he lives another day.

Ryn are somewhat small near-humans with tan skin and brittle white hair, along with a long tail which ends in white hair. Kiles is still in his late teens, and so this white hair has yet to cover most of his body as it does on the rest of his species, allowing him to obscure his identity and pass as human in circumstances where he can hide his tail - the Ryn are a nomadic people who are widely disrespected by the rest of the galaxy. He typically caries his essentials on him, rarely staying in one place for long, dressing in more nomadic attire.

Kiles shares the musical ability of his people, and unfortunately enforces the stereotype of them being con-artists in his day to day dealings.
