Background
Darmok grew up poor moving from refugee camp to refugee camp after the Lasat massacre. He knows he is force sensitive and that has helped him survive. He has a strong moral compass and he wants to learn as much as possible about the ways of the force so that he can be strong enough to protect everyone and do the most good.
Although Darmok bounced around a lot as a kid, he eventually fell in with a group of young refugees that became a family to him. One of the survival skills they employed was using coded speech, often using metaphors referring to mythilogical events and characters to describe present situations and plans. He occasionally falls into this speech pattern unintentionally.
Motivation
Knows the good that the force can do. Seeks to learn "all aspects" of the force in order to use it all for good. Does not believe in light or dark, but rather, balancing the force within one individual with equal knowledge and emphasis on light and dark.
