Background

Vystii grew up aboard a junker vessel known as the Scarab, owned by his Shistavanen father. Being half-human, he spent a lot of time in his father's shadow, being afraid of larger species.

As he grew up, his father taught him to stand up for himself, citing the old disciplines of honor as they practiced basic combat training together. Vystii grew to appreciate the old laws, but didn't want to be a lawman in the new Empire. At least, he didn't until he heard of the Hunter's Guild. Saving up for his initiation fees by fixing up scrap, he pays his way into the Guild training program, getting his first few captures with a minimal of scars and bruising and was granted acceptance.

Now in his early 20's, Vystii hops planet to planet with his father's help, searching down any cluster of leads given to him by the Guild. An older hunter, Gerald, tells him about a potential Jedi he's hunting. Disagreeing with the standing Empire bounty on Jedi, Vystii checks out the lead on Gerald's off time and tips her off.

Since she has nowhere else to go, Vystii helps her get off-world with him, and jumps around from place to place helping others along the way in keeping the peace.
