Dataspike 1 Tool Once per round, may expend a dataspike to disable a security program as a maneuver. Reduce the difficulty of subsequent Computers checks to disable the program by 2. The dataspike is then useless.

Background

Ral is a gritty, down to earth, old-school Southern Nikto mechanic, who, through necessity rather than preference, has had to learn his way around computers. He is a Security and Surveillance specialist, mechanical and computerised, small scale and large, both their implementation and by-passing.

In combat Ral personally prefers a non-lethal approach, laying down ranged cover fire with blaster rifle or disabling opponents with his grenade launcher. You wouldn't want to get up in Ral's face though as he is a sturdy and vigiant Nikto, who wields a home-built vibroknife.

Motivation

Undermine the Corps and the Empire.
Ral used to work for anyone. He worked for the Corps and the Empire to earn the credits he needed to offer to work at low cost or for free to the common people of Corellia. Eventually he realised he was helping to prop up the Corps and the Empire just too much. Time to use what he knows about their security and surveillance against them. So he checked in with his old friend Tommy, who had been trying to recruit him for some time, and finally accepted work for The Lost Ones.

Obligations

Ral knows Throttle from the racing circuit. Ral makes vehicles race hard and Throttle races them hard. Ral has also hired Throttle to do the piloting when mechanical work has taken him on longer journeys. Nobody better to get him there and back safely. Ral may be warm and Throttle may be cold. Ral may be slow and steady and Throttle may be full speed. But together they are complimentary and fully respect each others skills. Since Ral joined The Lost Ones, it turns out that Throttle is part of the crew here too and their trust in each other and in Tommy, goes a long way on a job.
