Cadda grew up in the Slums Sector of Nar Shaddaa, the son of a computer technician and a thief, Cadda was born into familiarity with the underworld and computers. By the time he was 7, Cadda had already mastered the basics of network infiltration.

When he was 14, his parents accepted a job that was not all it seemed, and in an attempt to erase all connections to the job, both his mother and father were killed by the Black Sun. Cadda himself only narrowly managed to escape by hiding in the vents of his parents ship.

Blinded by rage, Cadda vowed to find his parent's killers. He sliced into the Black Sun database and found video footage and dossiers on each of the killers. However, his inexperience meant that he did not realize the Black Sun hires some of the best slicers around, and a counter-slicer by the name of Fen backtracked his trail.

Upon realizing that the person Fen had been tracking was just a boy, he confronted Cadda and offered to take him under his wing. With Fen's training, Cadda was able to hunt down and kill each of his parents murderers over a period of 9 years.

Cadda was not satisfied though, and vowed to take down the Vigo (Crime Boss) who had ordered the job. Despite Fen's warnings, Cadda threw wrench after wrench into Salis Turannian's operations, drawing his ire.

When Cadda attempted to kill Salis by luring him into a trap, his skills in combat were not sufficient to take on Salis and his highly trained bodyguards. Wounded, he managed to escape and sought solace with Fen.

With his identity compromised and an exceedingly large bounty on his head, Fen advised Cadda to leave Nar Shaddaa forever. Cadda forged an identity for himself in the Santhe Corporation database and slipped onto a company transport posing as a technician, unsure of where this new freedom would take him and whether he would live long enough to enjoy it
