Background
- Eighter doesn't remember all of the particulars, but he was once a very buggy R2 unit scheduled for "reformatting". After a chance encounter with an infamous space pirate named Tagar Minh, Eighter wound up being stolen from his Repo/Depot. Impressing the pirate with his sarcasm and skill at gambling, Eighter soon found himself a permanent member of Tagar Minh's crew. There, he learned all sorts of deplorable skills and talents as Minh plied the stars for profit.
Something horrible happened and most of the crew was killed during a botched raid. Eighter was reclaimed by Imperial forces and spent a time imprisoned in a droid facility. Once again scheduled for a memory wipe, he miraculously escaped unharmed when his future boss, Klapto Ralbo, murdered the Imperial technicians and set all of the wayward droids free.
Offering his services to Klapto, Eighter soon got back to what he does best; flying ridiculously fast ships and swindling humanoids out of their hard-earned credits.
Motivation
-After such a long time without a memory wipe, Eighter has become quite peculiar and eccentric for a droid. He seeks to please his "boss", but shows a near total disregard for the welfare of other organics.
-He is quick to draw his pistol at the slightest provocation, and never calculates the odds, unless he is at the sabacc table.
-He cheats at everything, even when it is inconsequential.
Obligations
-Addiction (Gambling): Picking up this skill during his pirate days, Eighter now finds it nearly impossible to refuse a toss of the chance cubes if given an opportunity
-Betrayal: Some horrible double-cross meant the deaths of most of his former space pirate friends. Was the betrayal committed by someone whom is still out to get him, or was it done by Eighter himself? Not even the befuddled droid knows for sure.
-Debt: For saving his life, Eighter has sworn his service to the Rodian bounty hunter Klapto Ralbo

Description
-Old, carbon-scored R2 unit, with a wealth of unnecessary decals and "badges" festooned on his hull. His most prized possessions (besides his rigged chance cubes) are his former master's heavily modified blaster pistol and jewel-encrusted eyepatch, which he languidly slips over his optical sensor when "shit becomes real".
