Background
Skeep is not what you would call a great bounty hunter or even a good one. He has succeeded on a lot of the small bounties, enough to get by. Word spread back in Tatooine. When it came to anything bigger than a couple hundred credits, something always went wrong with the job. What Skeep's biggest passion though was pod racing. He both followed and has entered a number of races on the circuit. Skeep has a passion for danger.
He was not a great racer, but he had both the reflexes and an idiot sense for high risk maneuvers. He normally didn't get paid out for finishing on the podium, but he frequently got paid out for being a fan favorite. Skeep was significantly better at this than bounty hunting but a bad job made him have to skip Tatooine and book it to Ord Mantell. A bounty was placed on his head and the only thing he could think of was a rival racer.
Ord Mantell was a dump. To be fair, Tatooine was as well but at least the view of desert was alluring. Ord Mantell pod racing scene wasn't as attractive as what he found out to be riot racing. Pod racing but with guns. Skeep had to take some higher risk jobs to be able to afford a racer let alone an entry and racers weren't cheap. He scoured the bounties available and found one that he was shocked no one had taken. It was a high paying job to take out, dead or alive, a human and a twi'lek. That couldnt be so bad, right?
He planned the job harder than he ever trained before. Alive had a higher bounty so that was how it had to be done. He armed himself with his blaster rifle which he saved every credit for a couple years ago thinking that the better the gun the easier the jobs would be. Skeep ambushed them both on the streets one night. The twi'lek told the human there was a shortcut and headed for a back alley. Skeep's luck was looking up.
At the end around the corner, he turned a corner and took out the twi'lek easily. She went down and the human was quick on the uptake and started to pull his blaster pistol out. Skeep was quicker and shot the human. Nothing happened. He shot him several more times and it seemed the energy was cascading around the human. The human returned fire and it was night night for Skeep.
He awoke with a slap and a curse from the twi'lek and she was personally pissed off. The human had to physically restrain her from going after the Rodian further. Skeep had been interrogated many times in his short bounty hunting career. This was the first time with no physical violence... other than the slap of course. It seemed the human had a knack for getting to the bottom of things. The human, Caine, found out about the bounty and wasn't surprised. The human and twi'lek took some steps away to talk it off and the female was a heavy dissenter even with the muffled loud whispering. The human came back and made Skeep a deal. He would not turn him over to the authoritizes if the Rodian would reverse the bounty and go after his employers. Skeep was then blacklisted in bounty hunting circles, but their little team stuck it to the people who hired Skeep. He was alone in a different world and he needed help, a home, and possibly a way to get a podracer. After the job Skeep enthusiastically joined up when Caine offered him a job and that was just over four years ago now.
