Background
M0-F0 was part of a proposed new line of LE-V0 law enforcement droids. Built with heavier armor and greater capacity for lethal force, the LE-V0m line were being shopped to Moffs, admirals, and other Imperial VIPs for use as personal security and crowd control.
While being transported to a prominent Imperial for a demonstration in the Lantillies Sector, M0-F0's cargo ship was hijacked by rebels forces. Most of his batch had been destroyed or damaged beyond repair, but M0-F0 was salvaged in working order. Rebels leaders liked the LE-V0's reputation for maintaining a low profile as well as this new line's focus on personal security. The added combat capabilities didn't hurt either.
M0-F0 is typically assigned to protect non-combatants such as medics and engineers in battle, providing close quarter security for politicos on diplomatic missions, helping to pull defectors out of Imperial territory as well as helping to acquire VIPs who ...weren't planning on meeting the Rebellion. He can also be used as ship security to repel boarders...or even to lead a boarding action.
Motivation
Typically, it is very difficult to slice LE-V0 model droids and change their programming to turn on their masters. However, because he hadn't actually been assigned a master before being acquired by the Rebellion, M0-F0 was slightly easier to reprogram. He now devotes his full efforts to assisting his charges in his Rebel cell.
Duties
Provide intel on Imperial security protocols and procedures. Infiltrate structures and locations where LE-VO droids would be appropriate. Provide protection for non-coms and VIPs on missions. Pacifying hostiles that need to be taken alive. Provide defense against boarders or act as first for offensive boarding actions.
Description
M0-F0 looks very similar to the standard LE-V0 security droid. He is as tall as the average wookiee with a rounded head and bulbous optic sensors. His torso is bulkier than the typical LE-V0 to carry the small shield he uses to protect his charges. His arms are also slightly more re-enforced
