As a teenager, Seb worked long hours on the family farm. His father expected him to take up the family business, but Seb's gaze was always turned upwards. He spent countless hours bundled up against the cold night air staring up into the stars and imaging what it might be like to explore the galaxy. Outsiders rarely visited Seb's small town, but even the slightest rumor of a traveler was enough for Seb to slip away from his chores and make his way into town. He loved listening to tales of faraway lands and strange new worlds. Those who knew Seb would describe him as quiet and pensive, but he could never contain his excitement around newcomers. With strangers, Seb was almost unrecognizable - he oozed warm familiarity with his excited chatter. It shouldn't have surprised anyone when Seb announced his intentions to leave Mirial, but his father was heartbroken and fell ill shortly after Seb's departure. Seb returned to help and quickly fell back into a familiar routine. Only after his father's death 5 years later did Seb fulfill his dreams of leaving Mirial and becoming a pilot.
