Background
1. How did you discover your force sensitivity?
I think I've always known I had something special in me, I just wasn't eager or ready to accept it. Togruta have a knack for the Force ability, you know. It has something to do with our montrals and close proximity to nature; that's what I've been told, anyway. I don't know much about nature. I was born and raised on Nar Shaddaa, where the only trees you see are the holo sort. Anyway, I was forced to really reckon with my ability when I was caught smuggling illegal narcotics out of Hutt Space, and I had to think quick on my feet when I was boarded by some customs guy demanding to see my cargo. In my desperation, I forced him to believe that I wasn't carrying anything illegal at all. Nope, not me. After that, it became like an addiction, or a game. It was fun to see how far I could push this ability and what I could get away with, which is super handy when you're a smuggler like me.
2. Describe a moment where you fell prey to your moral weakness or experienced a tragedy/horror that still haunts you.
Don't think too badly of me, but... There's been plenty of times where my weakness for greed hasn't done me any favours. I left my best friend stranded on some backwater planet because he was risking a lucrative cargo of ore we were picking up. I'm not proud of it, but I accept the fact it's what I had to do. There's no place for sentimentality with this job.
3. How did you come to join the NJO?
That's an embarrassing story, so I'll just say that I may or may not have tried doing a fancy mind trick on a Jedi (unwittingly, I'll add; the kriffer didn't look like a Jedi!). He wasn't impressed and gave me a good scolding (which I can't recall the details of because I tuned him out after the first sentence) but I do remember him being adamant about my ability, this 'gift' he called it. He said it wasn't meant to be squandered on parlour tricks, and that I could do more with my life, do better for the galaxy on whole, and maybe earn some credits in the process. All of this promised if I just followed his coordinates to Yavin. So, here I am.
4. Name one NPC your character has a strong connection with. This could be a family member, a friend, a work contact, or a bitter rival.
A friend, but he's definitely bitter now, no doubt about it. But I guess I'd be bitter at me too if I left myself stranded on some random backwater planet. Rachim Mason is his name, and he is -- he was -- my partner-in-crime for all sorts of smuggling gigs. Now he's just last on a long list of people probably wanting nothing more than to shoot me in the back, but it's okay if they don't like me. Not everyone has good taste.
5. Describe a moment in your life where you demonstrated your moral strength despite adversity.
What's 'moral strength'? Is that when you do something you know is right, and you're gonna pay for it later? Because there was this one time that I took on a job without asking the details (it paid, who cares). Turns out I was helping traffick some kids who would have been doomed to slavery. Call me what you will, but I don't do trafficking, slavery, or murder. So I dumped them on a backwater planet, instigated a fight with pirates, and blamed those same pirates for 'stealing' the kids. Lemme tell you, I paid for it, but at least my conscience was clean.
Motivation
Obligation 5 - Notoriety
Wherever Sherasti goes, her sass and charm never fails to land her in trouble of some kind. Angry employers, scorned lovers, cheated business partners, and a host of others follow after her, all of whom nurture a varying amount of hate, frustration and vexation for this flighty and beguiling Togruta woman.
