Background
As with many others like him, this clone trooper too was born on the planet of Kamino. Having shown an aptitude for being a pilot, this clone trooper was drafted into the Republic Navy to be trained formally as a clone pilot, which consisted of training on both starfighters as well as planetary aircraft. As any pilot out there would tell you, your callsign isn't chosen by you, but given to you by your buddies, whether you like it or not, and it sticks with you for the rest of your life. Of course, this particular clone pilot wasn't an exception.
Anyway, to keep a long story short and boring all of you out there (as well as saving me from telling an embarrassing story), let's just say that an incident involving a Z-95, a proton torpedo, and a Venator, coupled with a dash of incredibly bad luck during my training days earned this clone pilot the callsign, "Fireball". This may or may not have involved me crash landing a ship, but don't take my word for it. And don't ask around either, I'm warning you here! Maybe buy me a few rounds and my lips will get loose.
Having been trained in both space and planetary craft, Fireball also participated in the First Battle of Geonosis as part of the Republic Navy, supporting the ground effort by flying LAAT gunships and transporting troops as required. His extreme confidence in the awesome awesome-ness of his piloting skills (yes, I'm bragging, so what?) always brings troops and his craft down safely. Never fear, with Fireball in the sky, your hopes will never die!
Motivation
Belief in the Republic and everything it stands for. Of course, as long as they give me something to fly. Don't get me wrong, I can handle a rifle perfectly well, but mowing down droids from a whizzing gun platform, now THAT'S where it's at.
Duties
Being a Clone himself, the brotherly bond he experiences with other Clone Soldiers ensures that no matter how sticky the situation, he will find a way to bring them home in one piece. Just not anything that involves crash landing a craft. Okay, maybe yes, but no. We'll see when the time comes, don't push your luck okay?
