Weapons & Armor

Heavy Clothing : 1 Encumbrance, 1 Soak
A good leather jacket, technician's jumpsuit, or a thick woolen cloak won't stop much damage, but it's certainly better than nothing. Most characters living on the edge of the Empire favor heavy clothing for everyday wear.

Combat Knife : 1 Encumbrance, 0 HP
This physical blade is a common sight in the fringe worlds. Carried by less elite troops, it serves its purpose as a close-quarters combat weapon.

Defender Pistol : 1 Encumbrance, 1 HP
This pistol is commonly used by the Corporate Sector Authority, but is popular enough that it is often seen among the nobility and aristocracy.

Blaster Carbine : 3 Encumbrance, 4 HP, This blaster can be used one-handed at short range just as a pistol, but packing the punch of a rifle. They are shorter and generally less accurate or ranged than a rifle.

Smuggler's Trench coat : Used by many smugglers, this coat is useful for keeping items of interest concealed from the authorities, as well as obfuscating one's form which makes it difficult to hit. 3 Encumbrance, 0 HP

Frag Grenade - A typical fragmentation grenade, used very commonly by militaristic groups.

Inspiring Rhetoric The character may take the Inspiring Rhetoric action; making an Average Leadership check. For each Success, one ally within close range recovers one strain. For each Advantage, one ally benefiting from Inspiring Rhetoric recovers one additional strain.
Improved Inspiring Rhetoric 1 Each ally affected by inspiring rhetoric gains boost dice, on all skill checks for a number of rounds, equal to ranks in leadership
Disarming Smile 2 Take the disarming smile action, succeed at an opposed Charm Check to lower all defenses of a target by ranks in Disarming Smile until the end of the encounter.
Congenial 1 May suffer a number of strain to downgrade difficulty of Charm or Negotiation checks or upgrade difficulty when target by Charm or Negotiation checks, by an equal number Strain suffered this way cannot exceed ranks in Congenial.

Narrow Escape Ability 1 Once per game session, the character may spend two Destiny Points to make a streetwise check. if successful, the character is immediately able to flee from the current personal scale combat encounter unscathed. The challenge is not overcome or defeated, but the character is able to evade the hazard or threat for the time being. The exact nature of what the character us trying to accomplish, as well as the end results, must be approved by the GM, but suitably creative or daring.

Background

Hey, thanks for meeting me in my swamp. My name is Grol and I am a Drabatan. I grew up in this planet, “Pipada.” My hobbies include music and swimming, but I will never get near salt water, even if my life is on the line. My large lungs are what help me with my music and swimming. Luckily, growing up I was beyond lucky to live in the biggest house in my neighborhood. My dad was the manager of a real estate company, and my mom worked as a CEO of a closet company. You may have heard of their famous ad, “closets are not just where you store your clothes, but where your dreams come true.” Growing up I did not have my parents around much so I had to grow up talking to my butler and disgusting chef, and annoying nanny. I went to a private school, but even then people there were never able to meet my standards. Currently, I am the snob of the town, but I don’t seem to know why. I guess people just don’t understand what someone so awesome is like, because they usually just focus o n themselves. It is something I am currently trying to work on, as I don’t want to be perceived in that way. My current goal is to get at least 10 people to see me as a nice guy, that is not a snob.

Motivation

My friend who has an incurable disease is doing really bad. I'm currently trying to find a cure for him. He is hating life, and everyday I just keep trying to make him happy. He has a disease that he got when he was five, and it made him not grow old, and he will stay 5 years old and die as a five year old.

Family : Keeps having to take care of old parents and uncle, and taking care of the former maid, chef, and butler. Having to pay their bills for the old folks home, and for their other bills they need payed.

Deal- Duke Rhavelian pays them to be on retainer to solve problems and do jobs for him through out the Barresh Sector, and when he calls they need to drop everything and help him.
