Background
Jahari was given to the Jedi Order before he even had memories of a life outside of it. He was trained in the skills deemed important by the Jedi Order, immersed in their doctrine. Eventually, he was chosen as a padawan by Master Il-Rakis, at an older age of 14. Picked late due to what one could assume was a form of prejudice against his species, known for their irascible nature, which Jahari was known to demonstrate from time to time, but constantly trained to bring it under control. Il-Rakis decided to take him, understanding his species penchant for anger and having his own struggles with overcoming the stereotypes of his species, being a Dathomirian Zabrak. His training was smooth under his master, that was until the Clone Wars came about.
The Jedi Order suddenly became an army, less so the peacekeeping force they had been, integrating itself into the hierarchy of the Republic Army, and eventually into the Clone Army. His master became a General, and himself a Commander, of the Lion Battalion, led by Captain Wraith. The battalion engaged in skirmishes across the galaxy, in what seemed to be an endless war. Jahari learned much of strategy and warfare serving alongside his master, but it would not last.
Horror struck, and across the galaxy Jedi were struck down by those they considered brothers, clones turning against them without any explanation past "Good soldiers follow orders..." Jahari was lucky enough to be discussing tactics alone with Il-Rakis and Wraith, when the Order came. Il-Rakis senses a great disturbance and was thus prepared when a squad of troopers entered the room silently, before attempting to quickly dispatch the two Jedi. He eliminated them quickly, but with remorse. All three were flabbergasted as to why their loyal troops had turned and made attempts to escape the Venator they were trapped on. Moving through the levels as quietly as they could, eliminating enemies when forced to, they managed to get to the escape pods, but not before several squads descended on them. Il-Rakis was known to be selfless and honourable, and he showed it again when he used the force to powerfully push the two into an escape pod and jettison it, before falling before the greater numbers and endless blaster bolts of the rogue clones.
They landed on the planet of Mimban, disappearing into the swamps between their two sets of training. Eventually they found a way off the planet, being helped by the Black Sun Syndicate and brought to Nar Shaddaa, both becoming assets in their veritable fortune. He owes his life to both Wraith and the Syndicate, doing what would be considered unsavoury work to get by and survive. Soon after he reached safety, he destroyed his lightsaber, symbolically severing his link to the Jedi Order to more blend into normal society.
