Growing up as a student of history, while living on his home world Qualik joined the local defense force to protect his city from the CIS. He served with honor, and came to greatly respect the ideals and goals of the Republic and the Jedi. When the war ended, and the Empire was formed, he saw how the history of what came before was being rewritten. He left his Mon Cala to seek out the lost truths, and to ensure that what came before is never forgotten.

"The Lost": Qualik sees how the Empire is attempting to rewrite history; to change the story of the old Republic, the Jedi, what came before the Clone Wars. He aims to preserve this knowledge, by discovering and recovering artifacts and documents pertaining to the Old Republic. He does so in the hope that someday, they will be useful; not just trinkets in some collector's display, but as lessons for rebuilding that which is gone...

Debt (25): Qualik's expedition is being financed by Lady Shalinia of Ord Mantell, who is expecting a profit from the sale of artifacts found that do not have a research value.

Qualik is a short (for a Mon Calamari) individual with the normal build and appearance of his race. Having spent most his formative years in the deep sea, his coloration is slightly pale, and the mottling patterns on his skin are rather asymmetrical. He generally dresses rather casually, although being in the outer rim, he usually has his blaster at his side.
