Background
T'akchikti was was raised as part of a small clan of Chadra-Fan in Chad. Even among highly energetic and inquisitive Chadra-Fan, T'akchikti was considered mischievous. On the rare occasions that traders would dock near T'akchikti's village, he would eagerly watch as they unloaded their new and fascinating cargo.
When he was 9, he snuck onboard a freighter and was knocked unconscious by falling cargo as the spaceship took-off unexpectedly. Upon waking, he learned that a band of thieves had stolen the freighter with no intention of returning to Chad. Like most of his kind, T'akchikti was quick to forgive and forget, and found solace in the beings around him. Before long, he felt at home again and, this time, his energy and mischief were praised like never before.
For 6 years the crew helped him hone his skills and, in turn, he used those skills to make himself an indispensable part of the crew. A few months before his 16th birthday, a failed mission resulted in the entire crew being captured, except him. Alone once again, he turned to bars, strangers, and odd jobs to get by.
Often referred to as "an impulsive little fuck," T'akchikti effortlessly lives up to his reputation. He accidentally caught the eye of a rebel cell's leader at a bar by successfully stealing a TIE fighter from a nearby Imperial hangar while inebriated to win a bet against the bar's owner. After landing the TIE Fighter in front of the bar, he enjoyed the free drinks he had earned until he fell into a drunken stupor. Imperial officers arrived shortly afterwards and, disinclined to relay to their superior officer that a drunken, meter-tall rodent stole a fighter from under their noses, opted to return the intact spaceship to its hangar and never report the incident. Two weeks later T'akchikti stole the same TIE Fighter, once again while inebriated, to prove to dubious patrons that the rumors of his grand feat were not made-up; the bar-goers consequently dubbed him Captain Crook.
