Background
Voren is an orphan who grew up in the underworld of Coruscant, where survival meant joining a gang and he belonged to one called Nova 44 (Sector N-44 was their turf). His set within the gang consisted of a handful of tight-knit friends and Voren’s closest companions were a female human named Issan Akura and a male Duros named Doon Shenuri. They mostly engaged in petty crimes –vandalism, theft, and small-time cons– all the while longing to escape the planet and explore the galaxy.
Voren came up with a scheme to steal a small freighter, use it to get off-world, and hopefully sell its cargo to get themselves up and running. The plan almost succeeded despite long odds but it ultimately fell apart. Doon was killed by Imperial Navy troopers while Voren and Issan were taken prisoner. Fortunately for them, the incident drew the interest of an ISB double-agent secretly working for the Rebellion.
Although Issan and Voren never met their benefactor, he or she somehow pulled some strings to get them out of Imperial custody to Dantooine where they were offered a chance to join the rebellion to overthrow the system that oppressed invisible people like them more and more. Voren jumped at the chance to get back at those who killed one of his best friends but Issan declined. She’d seen firsthand what the Empire was capable of and thought it was foolish to try taking them on. Voren hasn’t seen Issan since.
In the years afterward, Alliance Intelligence honed the talents and skills Voren learned in Coruscant’s underworld. He and his handler, a female Bothan code-named Nova, work the Outer Rim to gather (read: steal) supplies and intelligence for the Alliance.

Description
Voren Kymeri is 1.8m tall, weighs 80kg, and while has no piercings, he does have a couple sleeve tattoos, each featuring a stylized Krayt dragon –one skeletal, one not– left over from his days as a gang member.
Voren wears a black shirt, dark gray fatigue pants, and combat boots with a three- quarter length gray-green coat over his load-bearing harness and utility belt. He wears a blaster pistol on his right thigh and a vibroknife on his belt. Voren also has a special, slim vibroknife concealed on his lower back. A pair of scanner goggles hang around his neck. To most Edgers, Voren speaks with a Core accent but Core-dwellers pick up on his Downsider dialect.
Voren is a calculated risk-taker and an adrenaline junkie fully committed to the cause of the Rebellion –in other words, a natural spy. Somehow, he managed to retain just enough idealism growing up until a worthy cause came along, otherwise he’d probably be a glassy-eyed grifter or a grease-stain somewhere in the lower levels of Coruscant.
