As a child, Suvaara was identified as a Force sensitive, but at too late an age (8) to begin training as a Jedi. Instead, he remained with his tribe on Shili, becoming a successful enough hunter that he was hired by an intergalactic safari company. He proved a popular guide, one who enthusiastically helped his patrons; however, his Force powers made the killing of animals for sport a painful experience, and he told the safari company that he wished to become a wildlife photographer and lead expeditions where the only trophy was a holo-image. His employer balked, terminated his contract, and demanded that he repay the full cost of his hunting equipment, as well as all expenses for his last expedition. Having sent the bulk of his wages to his tribe, Suvaara feared he would be imprisoned, and jumped aboard the first transport he could find, which was leaving for Silex.

The character understands on some level that everything that happens, has happened, or will happen in the galaxy is part of the Cosmic force. The Force guides the galaxy and the individuals within it, and things happen for a reason.
