Background
A recent graduate of the Imperial Academy, Elana Beviim is a natural starship pilot, as befitting her homeworld of Corellia, and she even served as a helmsman on her first few assignments, though her true passion is starship command. However, even in her Academy days, she began to learn some of the harsh truths of the Empire, being exposed to protests being put down violently and the enslavement of various planetary populations. This ate away at her, even as her orders forced her to take part in these acts, until she could take no more, and she left, joining the Rebel Alliance. Seeking to atone for the acts she committed in the name of 'duty' and 'orders', and to keep the Empire from harming innocents any further, she seeks to continue her dream - commanding starships - only on the other side of the fence this time. However, now she is fighting against those she once called comrades, and she knows the odds of showing a traitor mercy simply because she knew them before are slim to none...
Motivation
Drive/The Game (Flavor) - Elana sees battle as just a game of tactics, acknowledging that she's just a piece on the board, though she would also count as a player if she was the commander of a ship, at least on one level.
Quest/Redemption (Main) - Elana committed grave atrocities as an Imperial Officer, and seeks to do all she can to atone for her sins.
Duties
Space Superiority - Elana is a natural at starship combat, commanding her vessel - and piloting it, if necessary - into battle against various enemy forces.
Rank: Ensign
Description
Elana is a 27-year-old Human female from Corellia, with blonde hair and blue eyes, and a slender build, who stands at 5'4". She is almost always clad in a black shirt and pants, with a grey tank-top underneath, at least when she isn't wearing her Alliance Naval Uniform, which she also had custom-made in black material, or the black combat suit made for her by Cassandra, which also doubles as a vacuum-rated space suit.
Once idealistic and believing in the goals of the Empire, Elana is now much more subdued and realistic, thanks to the truths she has learned and the acts she has been made party to. While not a true alcoholic, there are occasions where memories and nightmares force her to a bottle of Whyren's Reserve Corellian Whiskey, which she makes sure she is never without.
