Jay is the awkward young engineer aboard the merchant vessel Contrinise. His is quite proficient in most aspects of technology and is particularly interested in droid mechanics and gadgetry. He lost his mother right before reaching adolescence and has since been traveling through space with his father. Initially, they did smuggling jobs, during which time Jay made some contacts in the underworld community, specifically among delinquents and other aspiring scum. When his father went legitimate a couple years back, Jay made the transition with him and their new droid companion Ike. They joined the crew of the Contrinise. Sometimes, it seems as though Jay has not completely given up his connections to the underworld, as he seems to have some friends in nearly every civilized system and somehow even more in the uncivilized ones. Lately, he has brought up his possible intentions of running off and joining the Rebellion. However, that remains a distant possibility, as he was just made a partner onboard the Contrinise and he now has a lot of responsibility and work of which to take care.
