Description
When the character suffers a Critical Injury with a severity no greater than Easy (1P) the character may activate Endure as an out-of-turb incidental and commit FD to temporarily ignore the effects of that injury The character does not apply any results from the Critical Injury or add + 10 to further rolls on the Critical Injury Result table while FD remains committed. When this ongoing effect ends, the character suffers all effects of the Critical lnjury (unless it has been treated).
Upgrade Effect

Background

Born on the Nautolan homeworld of Glee Anselm, Taima was taken from his parents at a very young age and brought up in the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. His years as a child and then an initiate weren't anything special, other than the young Nautolan's penchant for running outside every time it rained, although as he grew older and learned more he developed frustrations, disillusionments, and a hidden anger that threatened his place in the Order. He was chosen as a Padawan by the Twi'lek Master Merasska Aren, who saw potential for greatness and the desire to do good in the troubled adolescent, and on their journeys through the Outer Rim she tried to show him how the Jedi were a force for good in the galaxy, despite their flaws. It wasn't always successful, but it kept him in the Order and at least trying.

The pair managed to escape Order 66, but were eventually tracked down during the Purge and Master Aren was killed. Without her to keep him focused, Taima has found it harder to keep from slipping into anger and depression.

Motivation

Vengeance. His Master's murder hit Taima hard, and he's determined to avenge it or at least make it mean something.

Description

Taima is tall and muscular from hours of combat training, with pale olive-green skin, large black eyes, and numerous tendrils that spring from his head in place of hair. A generally affable soul, Taima loves to laugh and when at the Temple was often been accused of not taking things seriously enough. He took his training and being a Jedi seriously, although wasn't shy about the problems he had with some of the practices and strictures.

After the Fall of the Order, Taima's still overall laidback and genial, but he's not quite so quick to laugh and when he does there's still a sadness lurking behind his eyes.

He usually wears cargo pants, a utility belt, and a sleeveless vest to show off the muscles of his arms and upper torso. He'll wear sturdy boots when the situation calls for it, but will kick them off at the earliest opportunity. He'd probably strip off the rest of his clothes too, if propriety allowed.

Although Taima knows how to handle a lightsaber quite well, he's not averse to abandoning it for a vibroknife and his fists if the situation calls for it.

Special Abilities: Nautolans begin the game with one rank in Athletics. They still may not train Athletics above rank 2 during character creation.
Amphibious: Nautolans may breathe underwa­ter without penalty and never suffer movement penalties for traveling through water.
