Yamira Daq's earliest memory was growing up in the Jedi temple on Coruscant. She was barely an infant when she was given to the temple to be trained as a Jedi. She does not know who her parents were or if they are even still alive.
Yamira trained with the other children of the temple until she was 9. As an ending to their initiate training, the masters of the temple gathered the younglings together to perform an exhibition. It was up to the individual Jedi Initiate on how they would demonstrate their skills.
When it came time for Yamira's turn, she bravely stepped into the demonstration circle, pointed to a young human woman - a Jedi Knight named Maleena Denu - and challenged her to a dual. Both the students and masters were surprised, but Maleena admired Yamira's enthusiasm and acquiesced. The duel was short and ended with Yamira on the floor and her saberstaff in Maleena's off-hand. Many of the the younglings laughed at her failure, and more than a few masters frowned with disapproval, but Maleena was truly impressed. That day, she took Yamira as her padawan.
For three short years, Maleena trained the young Zabrak. She found Yamira to be a natural swordsman, but also strong in the Force as well. However hard she tried, she could not quell Yamira's reckless attitude.
Just before the Clone Wars began, Yamira had suffered an injury while negotiating a border dispute on Dantooine. She was sent back to Coruscant and was unable to join Maleena on a special mission on Geonosis - where she fought and died to a legion of battle droids.
Yamira had no time to mourn her master's death. A war had sprouted on the ashes of her master's grave. She was given a new master, a Mirialan named Bavo. Yamira was initially resentful of her new master, but she was also pleased that he also used a double-bladed lightsaber. He was able to show her more than a few tricks and forms to best utilize the unusual weapon. It did not take long for the two to develop a report and bond.
Secretly, Yamira wants to be the youngest Jedi Master on the council. But since she is still a lowly padawan, this frustrates her. She had heard tales of many Jedi gaining the rank of Knight through deeds during the war. She sees this as the easiest way to ascend in rank. Her ambition furthers her reckless behavior.

Emotional Strength: Enthusiasm
Yamira Daq is quick to prover herself. She never backs down from a challenge once her mind is made up. If there was a person who you want to be excited for you, she would be your girl.
Emotional Weakness: Recklessness
Yamira's enthusiasm can often times get the best of her. She is know to leap before looking, and rarely considers the long-term consequences of her actions. This is especially true when she sees an opportunity to fulfill her ambitions of becoming a Jedi Knight, and later a Master.
At age 14, Yamira stands at an average 1.62 meters.
Judging by her dark orange skin and thick black patters panting her face, it's clear she favors Dathomirian Zabrak heritage.
Except for the single padawan's braid dangling behind her right ear, she keeps her hair black and orange-streaked hair on the shorter side of medium.
Normally she favors black cloak, but underneath, her dressing is less than demure. Beneath is a black halter top reminiscent of her idol, the exotic Jedi knight Aayla Secura. For leg wear, she wears a medium length skirt slitted vertically along her legs, with a pair of black leggings underneath.
