Background

Down and out.

Buston B'dick was just like and other Klatooinian, well cultured and hard working. Granted if you weren't hard at work betting a slave for a hutt you were likely to be dead. This was a normal life for a Klatooinian as had been for a very long time, but that didn't mean they had to except it as many did.... Buston was not one of them.

His entire childhood, which was relatively short for their species being as they became adults at the age of 10, he witnessed countless friends and family members ripped from their homes on Klatooine becoming slaves for random hutts and other crime lords. It was no different the day Buston turned 10 as he was taken from his family by a Gank that worked for the local crimelord, Glubba the Hutt.

Glubba was a brutal hutt, and was actively making a push for the big time against his rival Jabba by building and acquiring as many ships as possible. This is where Buston's life truly begins as his duty was to keep all the ships in tip top shape. Over the next 15 Buston perfected his talents and stayed out of trouble as much as he could. He became very technically attuned to the ships and weaponry he worked on so diligently each and everyday that he actually began to enjoy his life and made a few friends with some of the other mechanics. That was until that fateful day that everything changed...

It was no different than any other day, Buston and his friend, a Xento named Zeetor, were in the hanger tinkering with a Quadjumper class ship when that same Gank from long ago walked up... the next few moments went past very quick but there was talk of conspiracy against Glubba, a destroyed shuttle, and then making an example out of it, then a blaster shot....
Buston opened his eyes to see Zeetor dead with a smoldering hole in his head. The Gank glared at Buston and mentioned not to make the same mistakes again or he'd be back. Buston kneeled down next to his lost friend for quite some time quietly whimpering to himself. After awhile he stood up...

....Fist clenched and went off to his quarters. He had a plan to get out of this hell and he was determined to get out now. Grabbing everything he had in his footlocker, including a special modular blaster rifle he had made from scratch, and took off back towards the hanger. As he arrived he saw the Gank with two Gamorean grunts, ordering them to clean up the body of Zeetor. Buston bided his time until the Gank's back was turned and the Gamoreans were far enough away and took his chance. He leapt into the cockpit of the Quadjumper he had been fiddling with earlier and quickly flicked it into life. The Gank spun around and drew his blaster to take a shot only to be faced with the four giant engines of the ship coming to life... Buston burned them into a fury engulfing the Gank in an enormous plume of fire. Alarms began to sound and Buston could see pilots rushing into the hanger to help qwell the situation. Flipping a few switches, Buston unleashed a large payload of cluster bombs throughout the hanger from the Quadjumper's front launching port, then kicked the engines into a hard reverse jumping the ship backwards out of the hanger. Chaos ensued as the cluster bombs began to detonate, destroying ships all throughout the launch bays. A few pilots managed to get airborne but were quickly halted as Buston launched his final payload, a Conner Net. A perfect shot as it covered the entirety of the hangers exit, tangling the pursuing fighters in an ion field immediately rendering them useless causing them to plummet to the earth below. It wouldn't be long before more ships were called back to the base so Buston began to head for space. As he closed in on breaking atmosphere he looked up the furthest possible jump that the ships fuel would allow... Fondor Spaceport. He wasn't familiar with it or the system, but it was far away from here and that's all that mattered to him.

Flipping some more switches and pressing a few more buttons the Quadjumper lurched forward...

...as the stars began to steak by. Buston was free...
