Born into the Nuruondo family and trained to be a diplomat from a very young age, Hune'ravel'nuruondo excelled in her studies and was singled out as a prodigy. As she exited her teenaged years, she was chosen to take the role of Aristocra of the Nuruondo family from her predecessor before he passed. After being chosen, she was thrust into a whirlwind of tutors and classes, unable to keep up with the vigorous training for the life lying ahead of her. Members of the other families and even some of her own tutors began to regard her as a weak link among the other Aristocra, with many envying her position and seeing her as unworthy. Her reputation culminated with an attempt on her life, as while accompanying one of her fellow Aristocra, a bounty hunter broke into her room, shooting her, but mistaking her for dead. Already miserable in her current life, and knowing that the assassination attempts wouldn't stop was she to simply go back to her studies, she made the decision to escape, presumed dead by her peers. Now, she goes simply by Ravel and works as a diplomat for hire, skilled in negotiating and manipulation, with a plethora of connections to fall back on.

A rather vengeful person, Ravel wishes to see the bounty hunter that left her scarred dead and wishes to have whoever hired them's life ruined. There's an anger that Ravel feels under the surface that she constantly pushes down, one that has made it increasingly harder for her to perform her job. She has no desire to go back to her old life, and doesn't fantasize about retaking her place as Aristocra, she simply hopes to find inner peace but destroying those that tried to snuff her out.

The Chiss are already a people prone to looking down on others, but the praise given to Ravel as a child mixed with her later desire to prove her critics wrong has left her with an inflated sense of self, a fact she does not wish to share with others. Chiss is prone to being patronizing and passive-aggressive when off the job, while on she will say whatever it takes in order to accomplish her goal, even if it uncharacteristic. Ravel constantly wears her medium-length black hair in a high bun, and changes her wardrobe based on the mark she's working with. When dealing with the underworld, she wears dark clothing and a thin fabric mask concealing the lower half of her face, while when dealing with the upper class or at social functions, she wears a gown and a mask similar to Venetian carnival masks.
