Tihai never had a singular place to call home growing up; home was the ship and whatever port his parents and their smuggling partners stopped at. It was an imbalanced, transient childhood filled with "learning moments" in addition to more traditional schooling the crew gave him. While it wasn't an ideal childhood, it was more often happy or contenting than sad or disheartening. At least, until a run went bad. Real bad.

Both his parents did not return from a delivery that evening, authorities and double-crossings nailed them for good, and the crew took a noticeable turn in their parenting style. The two surviving members consisted of Taarl, a rodian, and Jansra, a duros. Neither really knew how to raise a human kid and had been following the lead of Tihai's parents, though Jansra did give it his best effort. This didn't stop them from teaching him the one thing they did know well: Smuggling.

It's from Taarl and Jansra that Tihai discovered his affinity for sneaking around and tinkering with computers and machines. He had plenty of practice once he got old enough to participate himself. The runs were alright by most standards, nothing too dangerous or well paying, but they helped give the up and coming smuggler a good base to build off of.

Tihai eventually would part ways with the pair, itching to get away from the place he'd spent nearly his entire life in and on to bigger and better things. At least, that's what he imagined as he stepped off the freighter and into a crowded starport. He's since had more than one bad run in with Imperials as well as local crime syndicates and has sought to find safety and security within the rebellion.

Specific Connections (Underworld): The Alliance depends heavily upon smugglers and illegal trade to get many of the resources it needs, and lately the Player Character has been aiding the Rebellion quite often. He's bumped shoulders with the Alliance on more than one occasion and has had enough run-ins with the Empire to know that operating in Lantillies will be much easier with fewer Imperials.

Support: Though his talents have tended towards sneaking, be it sneaking various things into or out of somewhere, and being "hands-on" with computer and mechanical systems. He looks for opportunities to help wherever he can so as not to let his skills go to waste.
