Talents

Name Rank Book & Page Description
Command 2 Edge of the Empire PG 133 Gain a Bonus Die (Blue Die) when making Leadership checks for other checks to inspire, lead, or rally an audience per rank of Command. Inspired targets also add a Blue Die per rank to the subsequent Discipline checks they make over the twenty-four hours. This does not increase with additional ranks of Command.
Second Wind 1 Edge of the Empire PG 142 Once per encounter, the character may use a Second Wind incidental to recover an amount of strain equal to his ranks in Second Wind.
Point Blank 2 Edge of the Empire PG 141 The character adds one damage per rank of Point Blank to one hit of successful Ranged (Heavy) or Ranged (Light) attacks made while at short range or engaged.
Side Step 1 Edge of the Empire PG 142 Once per round on the character’s turn, the character may perform a Side Step maneuver to try to avoid incoming ranged attacks. He then suffers a number of strain no greater than his ranks in Side Step. Until the start of the character’s next turn, upgrade the difficulty of all ranged combat checks targeting the character a number of times equal to the strain suffered by the character.
Confidence 1 Edge of the Empire PG 133 The character may decrease the difficulty of any Discipline check to avoid the effects of fear by one level per rank of Confidence. If he decreases the difficulty to zero, he does not have to make a Discipline check.
Natural Marksman 1 Edge of the Empire PG 139 Once per game session, the character may reroll any one Ranged (Light) or Ranged (Heavy) check.
Sniper Shot 1 Edge of the Empire PG 142 Once per round before making a non-thrown ranged attack, the character may perform a maneuver to attempt a Sniper Shot. Sniper Shot increases the maximum range of his ranged weapon up to one range band per rank. For each rank beyond the normal maximum of the weapon, upgrade the difficulty of the check by one (this is in addition to the increased difficulty of the shot due to longer range).
Lethal Blow 3 Edge of the Empire PG 138 The character adds +10 per rank of Lethal Blows to any Critical Injury rolls inflicted on opponents.
True Aim 4 Edge of the Empire PG 145 Once per round, before the character makes a ranged attack, he may perform a True Aim maneuver. By performing this maneuver, the character gains all the benefits for aiming and also upgrades his attack roll once per rank of True Aim.
Dedication 1 Edge of the Empire PG 134 Each rank permanently increases a single characteristic of the player’s choice by one point. This cannot bring a characteristic above six.
Skilled Jockey 1 Edge of the Empire PG 142 The character removes a Setback die per rank of Skilled Jockey from his Piloting (Planetary) and Piloting (Space) checks.
Let's Ride 1 Edge of the Empire PG 138 Once per round on the character’s turn, the character may mount or dismount from a vehicle or beast, or slide into the cockpit or weapon station aboard a starship, as an incidental instead of a maneuver.
Expert Tracker 1 Edge of the Empire PG 135 Remove a Setback Die (Black Die) per rank of Expert tracker from check to find or follow tracks. Survival checks made to track targets take 50% less time than normal. This does not decrease with additional ranks of Expert Tracker.
Full Throttle 1 Edge of the Empire PG 135 The character may push a starship or vehicle past its limits of speed. He may perform the Full Throttle action, attempting a Hard Piloting check. With success, the ship’s top speed increases by one for a number of rounds equal to Cunning. The ship still cannot perform actions or maneuvers it could not perform normally (i.e. actions that have a minimum speed requirements)
Brace 1 Edge of the Empire PG 134 As a maneuver, the character may Brace himself. This allows a character to remove a Setback Die (Black Die) per rank of Brace from the next skill check based on changing conditions: inclement weather, unstable surfaces, zero gravity, heavy gravity, or other disruptive physical obstacles that would make a skill check more difficult.
Grit 3 Edge of the Empire PG 136 Each rank of Grit increases a character’s strain threshold by one.
Rapid Recovery 1 Edge of the Empire PG 141 When this character heals strain after an encounter has concluded, he heals one additional strain per rank in Rapid Recovery.
Galaxy Mapper 1 Edge of the Empire PG 141 Remover a Setback Die (Black Die) per rank of Galaxy Mapper from all Astrogation checks. In addition, Astrogation checks take 50% less time. This does not increase with multiple ranks of Galaxy Mapper.
Natural Pilot 1 Edge of the Empire PG 139 Once per game session, the character may reroll any one Piloting (Space) or Gunnery check.
Tricky Target 1 Edge of the Empire PG 145 Any vehicle the character pilots counts as having a silhouette of one lower than normal when being attacked, to a minimum of 0.

Force Powers

Force Rating
Power
Last One Standing
Description
Once per game session during a combat encounter, the character may spend 2 Destiny Points to make a Hard (3 Purple) Resilience check. If he succeeds, he skips his next turn and eliminates all enemy minions in the encounter. (The minions are all eliminated immediately, so will not get to participate further in the combat, but for the sake of the narrative, the PC can spend the next round of combat incapacitating them). The narrative means by which he accomplishes this is up to the player character, but should be suitably exciting, and must also be approved by the GM.
Upgrade Effect
Reduce Setback (x2) Remove 1 Disadvantage from skill check to activate Last One Standing.
Reduce Difficulty Reduce the difficulty of the skill check to activate Last One Standing to Average (2 Purple).
Increase Effect x2 When triggering Last One Standing, eliminate one rival per increase effect upgrade in addition to the minions.
Add Boost (x2) Add 1 Blue to skill check to activate Last One Standing.
Destiny Last One Standing costs 1 Destiny Point instead of 2.

Background

Mr. Gedric has always seen himself as an sly opportunist even in the worst scenarios. Although he was placed in an orphanage at a very young age on his home planet Onderon, he had dabbled with powerful underworld figures, doing their bidding in secret from time to time. Everything in his life was smooth-sailing for some good years until he accidentally caught himself in a middle of an arms deal gone wrong. He was stuck in the middle of one group of thieving pirates and another of local arms dealers. A singular unknown blaster shot rang out from one side and a firefight quickly erupted afterwards. Gedric knew that he couldn't stay or he'd end up dead, so he quickly took up a blaster from a shot pirate and escaped with a stolen pirate light freighter close by and a good thousand credits in his own pockets. That he definitely didn't savage off of the dead pirates before he made his quick escape.
Ever since that (un)faithful day on his planet, he did the only thing that he knew what to do. Be a Hired Gun. Not only for the C.I.S., but for the Galactic Republic as well, and with every mission that he signed up for, he gained experience in both warfare and security details. But honestly, during his time off of work, he would daydream of coming close to his true pursuits of life, that being both having incredible fame and honest bliss. Truly a dream of just settling down on a quiet planet and tending to his very own greenhouse full of life and vegetation. Those two goals are the only reason why he continues to strive forward in this life of his. There were talks of something called "The Force", but he never far attuned to whatever that was, seeing how the only thing that's true in his life are the credits he would earn after/before going on contracts.
