Background
The only son of a former Republic Senate dignitary, Rhaegar shocked his family when he enlisted with the imperial army at 20 years old. Although his father objected, Rhaegar had been swept up by the lies and propaganda spread by the Empire. His athletic talents saw him rise above the rest, and Rhaegar soon found himself enrolled in the prestigious Imperial Military Academy on Carida.
It was there, under Carida's increased gravity, that his true talents shined. After graduating with top marks, his instructors saw that he was immediately recruited into the Stormtrooper Corp, as they felt his strength, skills and grasp of tactics would be put to the best use.
As had always been the case in his life, Rhaegar's abilities caused him to rise quickly. Before long, his deadly efficiency and dedication was rewarded, and he was transferred to the much feared 501st legion, also known as "Vader's Fist."
Rhaegar had been proud of the accelerated upward trajectory of his career so far. It was not long after joining the 501st, however, that he began to regret his decision to join the Empire...It soon became clear that most of the legions 'targets' were actually innocent citizens of the empire...
With each passing mission, Rhaegar began to notice that he could "feel" each and every death. At first, he dismissed this sensation as hypersensitivity during battle. It wasn't until he clearly felt the death of his squad-mate and friend from across the battlefield that he realized something was very different...
Although Rhaegar didn't like his situation, he knew he could not easily escape it. He had resigned himself to his duties, until the day that Aldaraan was destroyed...
It happened during a field exercise on Corulag. In that moment, Rhaegar felt as though he had been pierced by shards of the souls of billions all at once. A searing pain, unlike anything he had ever felt. He roared in agony, and when he regained his senses, everyone nearby had been hurled in every direction. He stood alone as they struggled to their feet. He suddenly felt something deep in his bones so strongly it was as though he could hear the word...
....Run....
He narrowly escaped Corulag with his life. No easy feat, as the planet is deeply loyal to the Empire. He fled as far and as fast as he could, and soon found himself in Hutt space. It was there that he found he could forge a new identity, for a price...
The procedures and documentation were not easy to procure, nor were they cheap...and Rhaegars only choice was to offer his talents to Jabba the Hutt to cover the cost. Until his debt is repaid, he is once again stuck in an unenviable position from which he cannot escape...
