Background

Gar was born on Neimoidia to parents of merchants that were part of the Trade Federation. After the Clone Wars ended, his parents both went to jail for their involvement in the CIS and Gar was entrusted to a distant uncle that ran a merchant ship in the Mid Rim. Gar's uncle, Tuk, showed him the tricks of the trade, but never really treated the boy as family. He saw him as more of an apprentice and employee. Recently, Tuk was arrested for smuggling on Druckenwell and Gar has been on his own ever since.

Motivation

Like most of his species, Gar is driven to make money. He is also cautious to put himself in danger, but is more willing to risk his safety than other Neimoidians if he believes the return on investment is worth it.

Obligations

Family (10) - Gar is always waiting to hear if his parents or uncle Tuk ever make it out of prison. He is very emotionally attached to them despite the lack of contact or any feeling of really being part of a family.

Description

Gar is tall and lean as most Neimoidians are, but dresses more like a spacer than a merchant. He prefers a flight suit and dresses to more closely resemble his Duros cousins, though they tend to down play an resemblance. He is friendly, but cautious as he has seen a lot of bad things happen to his family and fellow Neimoidians.

Other Notes

Short Term Goals - Acquire a ship and make friends or business partners that he can work with to start accomplishing his long term goals.

Long Term Goals - Own an operate a large scale shipping business that would make his parents proud.

Allies - He has several contacts in the trade business around the Mid Rim, but few true friends.

Nemisis - There are a few ISB agents and Imperial lawyers that are keeping an eye on Gar in case he shows signs of his family's dis-loyalty to the Empire. He intends to show them up by becoming successful and maybe one day is able to afford ensuring his family's freedom from prison.
