He was young when he joined a merc band, and spent most of his life drifting around from merc unit to unit, until the clone wars, his unit fought on both sides briefly before basically being purchased outright by a planet seeking to rapidly purchase planetary militia, the fighting was fierce and Ralus aquitted himself well as an assault specialist

but at the end of the war, the empire came...this wasnt a problem for Ralus...but his 'allies' in his new found militia Revolted against the empire mid operation including a unit commander that was supposed to relieve them after an assult, but instead choose to withdraw, trying to leave many storm troopers to die as a result...but instead...it was Ralus' unit that bore the brunt of the death and destruction

Ralus was one of 45 that survived out of 500, and he sustained Serious injuries during the combat...but his luck was not sour enough...the revolt lead to an empire retaliation...which dismantled the government....his employment...and medical benefits....so he was saddled with a loan for his recovery....

And now, in a tumultuous new era, he finds himself looking for those who need his deadly skills
