Background
Gage was originally a tech working as part of a Shard Ambassador’s staff stationed on Coruscant. Gage’s droid body was destroyed in a fight with Imperial soldiers shortly after the Empire arose when many Shards were murdered in order to secure control of their homeworld for mining. Gage’s rock body survived the loss of the droid and was picked up by a street child, who sold the shiny rock to a trader. In the years since, Gage has been trapped, entirely unable to communicate, and has changed hands many times. He was given to Vagrush as a payment at some point (settling a tab? a bribe? who knows?) during his work for Blobda, and Vagrush brought Gage along in his stuff. Since arriving at the colony, Gage has occupied a spot behind the bar as a decoration, in between some of the better spirits available. Gage knows far too much about Vagrush's personal and professional life at this point. Wimmel, sensing Gage's distress through the Force, attempts to liberate Gage from Vagrush's belongings. Unfortunately, Vagrush is not willing to part with his favorite pet rock at any price. Compelled by her strong moral compass and duty to honor all life-forms, Wimmel steals Gage from Vagrush and helps him find an epic new body. This, of course, makes Klatooinian Vagrush extremely angry. He has no actual evidence that Wimmel is the one who liberated Gage, but now suspects Wimmel of every sort of fraud and villainy and is determined to oust her from the colony. Dracmus helped source the parts for Gage's droid body using her knowledge brokers from the underworld.
Gage and Dracmus become gun buddies. Not always by choice but misunderstandings like these usually get sorted out.
