R4 was once known as R2-C7. Astromech droid for a Jedi. His Jedi master was a fantastic pilot, and R2 learned much from him. When order 66 was set forth, i was still in the ship, and was ordered to take off. Something deep in my programming made me follow that order, and to go and hide. Maybe there was something i knew that was important. or maybe we had just grown to be friends. I watched him die in a blaze of blaster bolts. Hundreds that he could not fend off.

From there, I did what i could to help. I hooked up with a small time smuggler, who had a desire to steal from the empire. It wasnt much, but it was a start. He got caught up in a theft, and was captured. I took that ship as well. Having lost the only 2 people i had valued, i set for the one place where knowledge may have some use. The Regellion. I heard rumor of a battle being fought, i made my way there and when the battle was finished, the rebellion its victor. I spoke to the man in charge, and offered my services as a pilot. Hopefully here i can exact vengence for the death of my master, my only true friend. and learn more to be able to survive.

Motiviation:

Vengeance: The Empire has committed an act the Player Character will never forgive. Every dead stormtrooper and every destroyed TIE fighter is another notch on his gun. marking his endless need to make them all pay. Such a motivation can lead to dangerous, even suicidal actions, especially if the PC doesn't find other feelings with which to temper it.
