Background

Journeyman

Varik displayed a high technical aptitude from a young age. After school he took his first job as a freighter mechanic and left home to make a living. He moved from system to system taking jobs on various haulers until he finally found a position on a Consular Cruiser in the Republic Outland Regions Security Force.

At the start of the war the ORSF was absorbed into the 18th Sector Army and Varik went with them. While the 18th prepared for a long campaign on the Hydian Way, Varik was assigned to the 7th Systems Army to fill shortages in the technical areas.

Motivation

Innovation: Waste Not, Want Not

Hates to let anything go to waste and works to refurbish or recycle wherever possible. Using up more supplies than necessary is sloppy. He sees the droid armies mass waste of droids as an affront to engineering.

Duties

Support - He wants to keep the war machine running. If the mechanic does his job no one knows he was there.
