Once a member of an ancient and historic order of Assassins, K. Nan received a much less traditional upbringing. While most kids had recess intermittently throughout their school days, K., along with the other younger Assassin adherents, practiced combat techniques to break up their lessons on galactic history. By the time the rest of his class were attempting to master the basics of swordplay, K. had already developed a knack for utilizing two weapons in combat, and how to throw a knife with deadly precision. Rumors say that long ago this ancient order of Assassins were stuck in an endless war with the “Temple Knights”, this modern iteration are glorified bounty hunters with an unhealthy dose of religious zealotry. K. developed a reputation for especially impressive and cinematic kills within the organization, at height of his career, a 23 year old K. Nan took on the bounty of one Bee-Bee Hart, a gungan captain who had begun to really make a name for herself in the criminal underworld. Known as a Jack of all trades and a master of one, and for having an impressively built body guard, K. figured this job would take some extra preparation. After taking the time to locate, tail, and eavesdrop on his targets, K. began to notice something special about Bee-Bee: she was genuinely kind, something no other target of his had ever been. Realizing that he wasn’t the only person out to collect the bounty, K., in a last second change of heart, used his skills and assassinated the other bounty hunter, revealing himself to Bee-Bee and her bodyguard. Said body guard grabbed K. and threatened to end him then and there when K. asked to join the crew of The Beluga. While a somewhat recent addition to the crew, K. Nan has proven his loyalty over the past few years and has been able to put his asset retrieval, assimilation, infiltration, tailing, and ultimately, assassination skills to the truest test as he is not only on the run from his old order, but also the ever growing swathe of enemies only those in the grittiest parts of the underworld of the galaxy could hope to cultivate.
