Background

MG-0 BLK is a military grade utility biped prototype intended for front line use as a ship/droid/cybertech mechanic, copilot, and medium range combatant. Isotech was nearing main line production of the MG-0 BLK but the schematics along with the prototype droid were stolen by an smuggler/slicer, Riam Gren. He was tasked with the job by Kajidic the Hutt as a means to fulfill his debt to the crimelord and free he and his daughter, Aedhriana from his servitude. Kajidic wanted the schematics to ransom back to Isotech or to sell to the highest bidder. He only needed the droid temporarily as proof of his possession of the schematics/droid or as a demonstration of its capabilities to potential buyers. He offered Riam keep the droid as a bonus when the sale/ransom of the schematics was complete. Before Riam could make it back to Kajidic though, he was intercepted by an Isotech retrieval team while en route. Knowing he was surrounded, and the droid ill-equipped to finish his mission alone he modified MG-0 BLK with his own personally made cognitive drive. The drive enhanced the droids ability to interface with other beings and to make decisions of its own. This drive also gave the droid a personality loosely based on Riam's own mannerisms, which for all intents and purposes may not have been for the best aside from a more life-like style of communication. He then gave the droid the schematics and one final protocol...deliver the schematics and bring Aedhriana to safety and then it could be free. With the newly installed cognitive drive based of Riam's own personality, freedom was very appealing concept to the recently activated droid. MG-0 BLK was deployed to a nearby planet from the escape pod on Riam's ship shortly after he had sliced into the enemy ships radar preventing its detection. Shortly after this maneuver however, Riam's ship was captured and he was returned to Isotech where his status remains unknown. MG-0 BLK touched down on the planet below and began his mission to earn his freedom just as his master before him.

Motivation

Freedom - This droid seeks its freedom from its one and only programmed task. Deliver schematic to Kajidic the Hutt and protect Aedhriana Gren.

Description

Black droid with a single red sensor on its head and two antennae. The frame is somewhat modeled after old Trade Federation droids to allow for a lighter more agile frame. However, the materials used are much more durable in order to last in more extreme conditions.
