Character background: Shinto's bounty hunting career started around 10 BBY at the age of 17. He figured that he may make some extra credits for his family on Maridun and since he picked up some hunting and tracking skills from hunting the numerous predators that lurk the sparsely populated planet he was already trained for it. Throughout the years he made a living and send most of the credits he earned back to his family only, keeping little for himself. He rarely managed to go back to his families farm, but kept constant contact with them nonetheless. This is one of the reasons that made him suspicious and worried as the they didn't respond for a few weeks to his holovids and messages. He quickly finished the job he was on and went back home as fast has he could. Once he arrived he found a ruined farmhouse with all of his family members mutilated by ,what he thought, some hyper aggressive animals. Until a few hours later, once he finished burying the dead, an imperial shuttle approached the farm, but once it landed it suddenly released a pack of what Shinto could only describe as mutated Mastiff Phalones.
With some difficulty he managed to slay them and made his way to the shuttle. There a few Stormtroopers disembarked and started shooting at him, but using the terrain and high grass as cover he defeated them. Bruised and injured he made his way into the shuttle where a imperial officer and a scientist were trying to start the shuttle. Upon entering they gave up, but once Shinto made a few steps into the ship he was hit in the back by a stormtrooper in black armor which he didn't notice upon entering. He was thrown off the shuttle on the brink of death to be devoured by the local Fauna. Shinto survived thought.
Years have passed since that day and his quest to avenge his family against the people who have been responsible for their death has not been fulfilled yet. Numerous imperials have died since then on his search for the scientist and the officer. Along the way he made contact with some agents of the rebel alliance, which saw a potential ally in him. Shinto accepted their offer to join the alliance figuring that they have a shared enemy, the Empire.
