Born to a middle class family on Ryloth, she grew up during the separatist occupation of her planet. She witnessed the multiple atrocities committed by the occupiers. She saw the Techno-Union pillage her planet for all of it's historical artifacts and treasures. During the revolution, her parents joined Cham Syndulla's resistance and fought the separatists. Both her parents died in the conflict.

Raised by her extended family, she learned to develop her talent as a singer and a performer. She attended a school for the Performing Arts on Ryloth before setting out on her own. She quickly saw how bad life had become for all non-humans in the wider galaxy. The Empire was cruel and unforgiving to any one who was not human.

After one of her shows in a seedy cantina in Theed on Naboo, a fight broke out as 2 drunken humans decided to pick a fight with a single Duro. The duro was badly beaten. When the Imperial security forces arrived, they arrested the Duro, and not the humans. She spoke out and raised a fuss about the injustices she had seen. She too was arrested and spent several nights in the jail, before getting bailed out.

She asked the desk sergeant, upon her release, who had paid her bail. After looking at his computer, he responded that it was paid by someone remotely. The funds were transferred by someone using the name of "Lever." As she made her way back to her hotel room, he was bumped into by a robed figure, whose features she couldn't make out. When back in her room, she had discovered a holo-messenger had been dropped into her pocket.

It took several weeks and some convincing but "Lever" had convinced Vey'la to act as an Informant for the Rebellion. She is cautious, and is not wanting to get into any direct conflicts with the Empire. However, she feels that we all need to do our part to stand-up for non-human rights.

After several long years on tour, she met a handsome young Bounty Hunter, named Jodo Kast. He modeled his career after Boba Fett, even donning a knock-off suit of Mandalorian Armor. They fell madly in love. Until one night after a show on Sullust, he approached her and showed her several recordings of her transmissions to "Lever." She was heartbroken at his betrayal. He told her that he would show these recording to the Imperials if she didn't help him with his hunts. She hates him. She wants to see him die. He usually only asks for information on marks that are in her area. She knows the time will come when he will ask for more...

NON HUMAN RIGHTS:
Horrified with how non-humans are treated by the Empire, Vey'la does what she can to bring equality to all races in the Galaxy. Either by using her perfomances to bring people together, or to pass on information to the rebellion so they can damage the Empire.

WEALTH:
One can not survive on song and verse alone. A full belly is a smiling face... and a new set of flashy clothes doesn't hurt either.

DUTY:
Is a Rebel informant. Her codename is Banshee. She uses a secure holotransmitter to send a recieve messages from her contact in Rebel intelligence, an agent who calls herself Lever. She has never met or seen her contact. the holo transmitter only shows the rebel logo when she recieves a message from Rebel Intelligence.

Is is charged to report all information regarding Imperial ship/troop movements in the area, as well as any information regarding shipments of valuable supplies and materials that are lightly guarded.

BLACKMAIL:
She was exposed by a former lover as a Rebel Informer. The ex lover is a bounty hunter called Jodo Kast. He models himself after Boba Fett. He wears knock off Mandalorian armor and uses a wide variety of weapons.

He used to be a rebel SpecForce trooper. She assumes that it is through his ex rebel connections that he found out about her secret, but she'll likely never know how he learned it.

He threatens to show the imperials the several recording he has of her transmissions to the Rebels. He uses Vey'la for a source of infoirmation as to the comings and going s of his marks. It seems he always asks for favours at the worst possible tiime
