Name Rank Book & Page Description
Droid: Special Abilities 1 Droids do not need to eat, sleep, or breathe, and are unaffected by toxins or poisons. Droids have a cybernetic implant cap of 6 instead of their Brawn rating. In addition, after selecting their career, a Droid Player Character may train one rank in six of the eight career skills (instead of the usual four). After selecting their first specialization, a Droid Player Character may train one rank in three of the four specialization skills (instead of the usual two).
Droid: Inorganic 1 Since droids are inorganic, they do not gain the benefits of recovering with a bacta tank, stimpack, or Medicine skill checks. Droids do recover naturally by resting, as their systems attempt self-repairs. Otherwise, droids need to be tended to with a Mechanics check, using the same difficulties and results of Medicine checks for organic beings. Emergency repair patches can be used to repair damage just like stimpacks are used on organic beings. See page 220 for more on droid repairs and healing. Due to their resilient metallic construction, droids start the game with one rank in the Enduring talent.
Droid: Mechanical Being 1 Droids cannot become Force sensitive, nor acquire a Force Rating by any means. Droids cannot use Force powers, and also cannot be affected by mind-altering Force powers.
Enduring 1 Edge of the Empire Core pg. 135 Character gains + 1 soak value per rank of Enduring.
Tinkerer 1 Edge of the Empire Core pg. 145 The character makes one piece of equipment more modifiable. He chooses one piece of equipment and increases its number of hard points by one. He can only do this once per piece of equipment, but can modify a number of pieces of equipment equal to his ranks in Tinkerer. If he loses a modified piece of equipment, he may apply Tinkerer to a new one.
Resolve 1 Edge of the Empire Core pg. 142 When the character suffers strain, he suffers one less strain per rank of Resolve, to a minimum of one. This does not apply to voluntary strain loss.
Signature Vehicle 1 Edge of the Empire (SWE14) Special Modifications pg. 35 The character chooses one starship or vehicle with a silhouette of 3 or lower that he owns. This starship or vehicle is the character's "Signature Vehicle." He upgrades the ability of all Mechanics checks made to work on the vehicle once. If the starship or vehicle is ever lost or destroyed, the character may apply Signature Vehicle to a new starship or vehicle that meets the requirements The process of modifying and acclimating to the new vehicle may take some time, at the GM's discretion. No two characters can have the same vehicle as their Signature Vehicle.

Background

Tink's mechanical life started as most Droideka's do, on the assembly line of Colla IV. He was rolled into battle for the first time during the battle of Geonosis. It was here where the clones of the Republican army shot them down, nearly turning it to scrap.

And scrap was what it was for awhile... until it was scavenged by a human scavenger by the name of Eriisa Myepit. The woman had caught wind of the gigantic battle, and took advantage of the aftermath of the battle to sneak in and steal as much from the fallen of the battle as she could.

And it was Erissa that took it upon herself to rebuild and reprogram Tink. She had plenty of material to work with, not just from the battle field, but from prior expeditions to other places. She re-purposed it to be her right hand hand-droid. Tink's role was to assist in repairs, or tasks she was either too busy, or found too boring to work on.

It was a good life by Tink's mechanical standards. Erissa was their human, and Tink was her droid. Tink found purpose in their day to day duties, and gradually learned how to banter properly with Erissa. Tinhead, and Meathead became their affectionate names for eachother in time.

Motivation

Ambition: Fame:
The character seeks the limelight and wants to be famous. He wants his deeds and actions to make the HoloNet for all to see and revels in the attention given by fans and supporters.

T1-NK wishes to have their expertise in modding and tinkering to be so noteworthy that others talk of their skills.

Obligations

Addiction (Fix-o-matic): 30
The character has a strong addiction to fixing things. T1-NK, was re-programmed and re-built to fix, improve, and modify things. The character devotes a lot of time, energy, and resources to pursuing or obtaining the object of his addiction. Avoiding this Obligation has an almost immediate result—withdrawal. The exact nature depends on the addiction, but the character finds it increasingly difficult to concentrate on even mundane tasks, often reflected in the GM adding anywhere from ■ to ■ ■ ■ to skill checks

Description

T1-NK is a spherical droid that has a diameter of approximately 1.5 meters. Their plating is a chromatic silver with red highlights, and they have a small orange eye that denotes the front of the droid. It's preferred method of locomotion is rolling, but when needed it can transform into a four-legged walker. While in walker mode, the droid opens up to reveal many mechanical parts. To repair items, it must be in walker mod. Its preferred method of repairing objects is to stand over them to use the many mechanical appendages and tools available from its under-side. Though, it can extend mechanical devices and appendages in the relative area in front of it as well.

When needed, the droid can activate magnetic grippers to allow it to stand in position during high speed maneuvers or zero-g walks.
