Background

Kogu grew up in an isolated monastery on the planet of Bunduki, under the care of an elder monk. Never having known his parents, he and the
other children were raised in the strict setting by the harsh but masterful elder. One major tenet of the monastery's code, aside from the
harsh martial arts regmen, was the adherence to isolation.

Following a shuttle crash in the surrounding mountains the Master informed the children that they would be relocating from the halls for
the forseeable future. Unwilling to leave the survivors of the crash to their fates, Kogu and another student snuck out at night and made
their way to the crash site, ultimately finding the injured survivors making camp. The two students made themselves known and helped them
gather supplies and navigate the wilderness. During their trek to the nearest outpost, the group was attacked by an Imperial recovery team.
Standing in their defense, Kogu and his friend repelled the attackers, but his friend fell in the battle. Angry and with nowhere else to
go, he continued on and eventually left the planet with the group before breaking off on his own to explore the galaxy.

Unbound by his previous life, Kogu quickly learned the harsh realities of the galaxy. His martial training gave him the tools to survive,
giving him enough to back up his altruistic nature he traveled helping those he could in exchange for enough to get by and make his way to
the next starport.
