Weapons & Armor

Hand Scanner (100)

Comlink (handheld) (25)

Holdout Blaster (Dam 5, Crit 4, Short range, Stun Setting) (200)

Stun Grenade (2) (Dam 8, Short range, Disorient 3, Stun Damage, Blast 8,) (225)

False Voice Transmitter (upgrades green dice in social skills under certain circumstances)

Upgraded Collar-Amp (Detects the user's voice and amplifies it, filtering out ambient noise. Politicians and law enforcement officials often use the Collar-Amp to address large crowds, while some entertainers hook the device into a larger sound system for concerts or performances at large venues. The Collar-Amp can boost the wearer's voice so that he can be heard up to long or extreme range (this depends on terrain, environmental conditions, and even the weather). For an extra 100 credits, the user can purchase a model that hooks into a sound system or entertainment system, which improves sound quality.)

Background

Motivation

Droid Rights: The character believes that droids should be accepted as full members of galactic society, not merely tools or servants.

Obligations

Obligation to bring the Memory Engrams, Trex, and SL1K to Jabba.

Obligation: Oath: The character has sworn some sort of oath that dictates his thoughts and actions, shaping his moral view of the world. This could be an oath to a deity, a way of living (such as the Jedi Code), or a willingness to sacrifice for the betterment of some group or cause. Whatever the case, the Oath should be both serious and make life difficult in some ways for the character. It is a personal and deep undertaking, possibly without a truly obtainable end goal in sight. Characters who do not live up to this oath face an internal and moral struggle. (Programming, not really an oath — but the same idea)

His oath: to cure his creators of the plague which deprived them of the ability to reproduce and to use the force. He believes this will require him to acquire force abilities and become a Sith Lord, to undo what the first Sith Lord did to his people.

Description

Other Notes

• Special Abilities: Droids do not need to eat, sleep, or breathe, and are unaffected by toxins or poisons. Droids have a cybernetic implant cap of 6 instead of their Brawn rating. In addition, after selecting their career, a Droid Player Character may train one rank in six of the eight career skills (instead of the usual four). After selecting their first specialization, a Droid Player Character may train one rank in three of the four specialization skills (instead of the usual two).

• Inorganic: Since droids are inorganic, they do not gain the benefits of recovering with a bacta tank, stimpack, or Medicine skill checks. Droids do recover naturally by resting, as their systems attempt self-repairs. Otherwise, droids need to be tended to with a Mechanics check, using the same difficulties and results of Medicine checks for organic beings. Emergency repair patches can be used to repair damage just like stimpacks are used on organic beings. See page 220 for more on droid repairs and healing. Due to their resilient metallic construction, droids start the game with one rank in the Enduring talent.

• Mechanical Being: Droids cannot become Force sensitive, nor acquire a Force Rating by any means. Droids cannot use Force powers, and also cannot be affected by mind-altering Force powers
