Kodai was sold into slavery at a young age on Nar Shaddaa by his parents in order to make ends meet. Owned indirectly by Grakkus the Hutt (a noted collector of Jedi artifacts), Kodai was initially trained to be a thief and a pickpocket, roaming the streets of Corellian Sector with a pack of other kids, stealing and keeping their eyes out for marks and information. Eventually, Kodai moved up the ranks enough to achieve a small measure of prestige within the organization.

While on Nar Shaddaa to purchase a Force-related artifact, Hethan Romund encountered Kodai when the thief managed to steal the artifact from him. However, Kodai made a mistake that allowed Hethan to track him down. Sensing his potential, Hethan bought Kodai's freedom with the very artifact that brought him to Nar Shaddaa in the first place.

The Church of the Force has since given Kodai the opportunity to achieve his lifelong dreams of notoriety (for better or worse). Before leaving the Smugglers' Moon, Kodai managed to track down his dad, who turned out to be a spice addict, but he has no idea what happened to his mom. He left the planet bitter but determined to make a name for himself in the galaxy.

Faction: Church of the Force. You begin play with Hethan Romund as your Mentor. You see yourself as a member of the Church of the Force with a mission to preserve the ancient lore of the various Force Traditions and will protect them from the Galactic Empire's quest to destroy them.

Glory: For as long as he can remember, Kodai has believed ardently (whether actually true or not is another matter) that he's destined for greatness so the animating force in his life is to fulfill his destiny. Whatever that may be. His biggest fear is that his life will be inconsequential.

Kodai's remarkable willingness to face danger sometimes stems from a desire to help others, but other times his risk-taking is borne out of sheer recklessness bordering on self-destruction.

Kodai wears black pants, a gray shirt, a dark brown jacket, soft-soled ankle boots, and black fingerless gloves.

He's on the shorter side for a human (around 5'6"/170cm) but he's very fit. Kodai has angular features and keeps his dark hair cropped short but only shaves occasionally.
