Motivation
Motivation:
Freedom: He desperately wants to be free of the Hutt cartel and no longer be a slave to that debt or the ship that owns him. If he could officially own the ship and maybe build his own fleet of ships he could avoid being driven into another's service again.
Wanderlust: he wants to explore the universe now that he is only slave to the ship and not to his former masters. New experiences and excitement is what he craves, he knows it will be dangerous, but it would be better to die free than live safe as a slave again.
Marick doesn't know what to think about other sentient non-mechanical beings. they never treated him well growing up, but he is learning that they aren't all out to enslave him or tell him what to do. He is curious about the galaxy now that he is has the chance to explore it, and while he doesn't have any formal education or training he is bright enough to begin to figure things out.
Obligations
Obligation 40
20 Debt (Norin, Hutt Cartels)
Owes the Norin Hutt Cartels for his ship and his freedom.
20 Responsibility/family (the ship)
technically due to strange trade laws Marick is owned by the ship, and as such has a responsibility for its safety and upkeep. In some ways the ship was his only family and didn't treat him poorly like his former owners and he sometimes can be caught speaking and caring for it like a family member.
Description
Marick stands well over 6 feet tall and has a shaved head. His skin is heavily tanned from the work the bounty hunters made him do for them and the ship on various harsh worlds on the rim. However, he has a pale ring with scars around his neck where his obedience collar used to be. while he used to carry himself slumped over and shrinking from everyone, since he has had his freedom he has learned his size and a rough demeanor goes a long way.
His clothes are heavier and bulky, adding to what could be an intimidating appearance, and keeps his blaster rifle in a three point harness off his shoulder ready to be brought up.
