Background
Foonsun Jaiks (pronounced Foe Soon) lived what he thought was a life of priveledge. He never knew his mother as she died during labour so it was left up to his father, Amsal Jaiks to raise Foonsun. Being a single parent with no other family Amsal's only option was to bring Foonsun along with him while he worked. Amsal was a fairly gifted pilot and mechanic who piloted pleasure ships around the galaxy.
Because of this upbringing, Foonsun was often left alone or at his dads side as he worked on a ship. His life was spent sheltered away deep in a pleasure ship not knowing of the struggles in the Galaxy. He never met anyone from the Imperial side of things and only pick up what he could eavesdrop while on a pleasure ship. He became used to good food, long easy voyages and little conflict.
By the time Foonsun was 16 he had seen much of the Galaxy and what he hadn't seen he swore he would. He wished to travel the rest of the Outer Rim and also all of the core worlds before he settled down. This life of priveledge would not lost. It was on just another one of these voyages that the pleasure ship his dad was piloting was detained by an Imperial Blockade.
Everyone on board was arrested including Foonsun and Amsal. They were not placed in the same cells and kept seperate. Not long after an Imperial Officer released Foonsun from detention and told him it was best he leave. Foonsun returned everyday for two years hoping to hear news of Amsal. Every day his hopes of seeing his father again dwindled. Until finally after two full years he decided it was time he move on.
Foonsun joined the first crew leaving that would take him on as a mechanic for the ship and never looked back. Foonsun never did find out the name of the planet they were on there way to. This one he didn't want to remember as it is where he lost the only family he had ever known. Foonsun hasn't given up hope that his father is alive but believes he may never see him again. Foonsun worked aboard this ship for two years with his new crew and allies. Though he never felt like he fit in amongst them, he did his best to try.
Foonsun fell back into this easy life of repairing the ship, maintaining the droids and fixing the crews weapons. He found he had a knack for moddifying them and enjoyed it. Foonsun discovered while with this crew that he prefers the company of droids. Droids don't require good social skills or small talk to get along well with. He came to see the ships droids as his closest friends and allies and always knew how to repair them if needed.
Until the ship he was on was heading to its latest destination. Foonsun never cared where they were heading but this time it was different. He felt something wrong before they arrived. The ship was flying to Sojourn and was detained by am Imperial Blockade. Foonsun has been experiencing dejavu and finds himself once again detained, without friends or family.
