Background
Hal started his working life as a prototype tester for a CEC subsidiary at an R&D facility in the Mid Rim. A good job where he got to push new tech to the limit and make adjustments on the fly. He lived life on the edge, in and out of the cockpit, for a while. Fast ships and faster women made his life complete, that soon changed. A few disasters with a big investment in new designs led to the company being liquidated and Hal being unemployed. When the money dried up, so did all the fun, then it became time to pay off his creditors for his lavish lifestyle.
A life in the Fringe followed; smuggling, skip tracing, bounty hunting, and even a little piracy. It wasn't always pleasant, but Hal got by after forming strong bonds with the other pilots and crew in his boss' syndicate. They got sold out during a raid on an upstart rival gang. Hal was devastated to watch most of his friends blown out of the void, sometimes by their own comrades.
He made a choice, stay and die or try to run. His ship was hit during tne jump to hyperspace and went wildly off course. Unable to maintain its run, the Ryloth Belle dropped out and Hal limped her to Corlathu. A wild descent and a crash landing left the Belle inoperable. With his loyal, old astromech Teefor, Hal now sets about checking out this place and trying to find a way back into space.

Description
Young, lithe. Blonde haired, blue eyed. A dimple comes out on his right cheek when he smiles, which is often. He had an easy smile and a casual attitude. Hal dresses in reinforced flight gear, with a blaster on his right thigh, and a utility belt stocked with tools around his waist. More often than not, he and his clothes bore several grease stains that he paid little mind to. Depending on the setting he may also have a backpack and duffel bearing his extra odds and ends.
