Selective Detonation 1 EotE DC 32 When using any weapon with the Blast quality or explosive device, the character may spend 1 Advantage or Triumph to exclude one target that would normally be affected by the explosion. Multiple targets may be excluded in this manner, but the total number may not exceed ranks in Selective Detonation.
Improvised Detonation EotE DC 32 Once per session, the character may make a Hard Mechanics check to perform the Improvised Detonation action and build an explosive device out of available materials. The device can be detonated via any logical means (time delay, pressure-activated, or even a fuse) and when it explodes deals damage equal to the character's ranks in Intellect plus ranks in Mechanics plus Success on the initial check, and possesses the Blast quality at an equal value. The character can spend a Triumph to increase the damage by an additional 2. A Despair causes the device to detonate immediately in the owner's face. If the check would have been otherwise successful, the premature detonation does damage based on the successful check (and has an equivalent Blast quality). If the check would have failed, the premature detonation only does damage equal to ranks in Mechanics plus ranks in Intellect.

Background

He fell on hard times after being fired from his job as a chemist in the wake of the Empire nationalizing his company and laying off aliens. He met the Mandalorian, who was looking for a bomb tech. Desperate for a job, he bluffed his way into the organization, but then he discovered that he was actually quite good with explosives, and beyond that, he loved explosives. He soon began requesting opportunities to field test his concoctions personally, and was assigned to the Mandalorian's strike team.

Motivation

Conflict: Mayhem
Ever since he first started experimenting with explosives, he has been in love with the destruction they can cause. His favorite thing in the galaxy is to make things go "Boom." ("Smart guys look at explosions!")

Ambition: Friendship
One of the worst things about losing his job was losing his friends. He became quite desperate for companionship after being kicked to the curb, and jumped at the chance to join the merc group largely in hopes of finding new friends.
