M7-4T was part of the M7-series Combat Protocol Droid designed by the Republic Engineering Corporation. With the idea in mind that protocol droids generally don’t fare well in combat situations, REC created the M7 expressly for the purpose of making it through battles intact.

In addition to the regular knowledge and skills inherent to protocol droids, the M7 is also programmed with data in basic combat techniques and has a historical database that covers famous or otherwise noteworthy battles across the galaxy. This particular M7 droid has been programmed with the proper military protocol and procedures, specializing in combat medicine.

M7-4T has received a memory wipe following every mission, in order prevent classified information from falling into the First Order's hands. He has been recently wiped, prior to this current mission.

(6) CONNECTION - (25) Military: When the war broke out, M7-4T was regulated to the medic role for a security enforcement patrol, safeguarding a Hosnian politician's daughter. After the destruction of Hosnian Prime by the Starkiller Base, M7-4T was donated in an effort to exact revenge by giving the Resistance a valuable resource. Since then, M7-4T has participated in many missions, and despite the numerous memory wipes, he still is driven to aid in the battle against the First Order, the only constant thing to remain after the wipes.

(35) Personnel: Originally created as a multitasking droid that excelled as a medic in the combat field, M7-4T has shown high efficiency in regards to his tasks of taking care of any the Resistance fighters who have been injured under his care. He is devoted to seeing to their safety, well-being, and capacity for success. No one should ever be left behind: the most successful missions might not achieve every goal, but they are successful nonetheless when no one dies.

M7-4T appears to be a hybrid between a chassis of a RA-7 protocol droid and a BX-series droid command. 1.9 meters tall, with copper and black plating, M7-4T has a masculine programming. He stands at a quiet attention, until his services as either a protocol droid to translate or as a light combatant are needed. He has a smooth, polite tone, even if he is under heavy fire.
