Background
Born into the Sesk’bumat caste of the Twi'lek, Nowk had long been the favored child among his families. When the Empire recruited him into service on diplomatic missions, he was genuinely happy. He spent his years moving to fringe planets and creating uncertain treaties which would then become strong alliances soon after he moved to another planet.
However, after one trip to a far-off planet, the denizens did not quietly accept him. They murdered his guards and sent him off into servitude (see slavery). However, he by some miracle convinced his would-be slavers he was worth more as an assistant over a hard laborer.
He had since then poisoned several of these slavers, tired of their cruelties. He took a more forward-facing position in the uncertain company he kept. It was then that he saw the atrocities of the Empire. Several holos passed through his possession showing the evils that the Rebellion faced.
He has since been in his little organization, which has slowly been necrotized by other factions and the closing in of the Empire's borders and dangers of nearby Rebel assaults.
Motivation
Belief. I believe that the Empire is seeking to bring about the unity of the systems. However, my belief in this has become shaky of late. I have seen wanton, pointless violence from the Empire. Now I have to believe that the Right of Might will decide the fate of the systems. Now my belief is closer to "Freedom" (AoR 105).
Obligations
Favor: I owed a favor to the Lok Revenants. Seems that isn't really a problem right now.
Criminal: I was seen at the scene of a raid years ago. Luckily I was able to escape, but I'm afraid if anyone from that part of the galaxy comes around, my cover will be blown.
